Thank you for visiting the website today. If you have not joined us on a Sunday morning already, we hope you would consider coming soon. We understand that going to a new place, especially a church, can be intimidating. However, we want to try and help eliminate as much of that as possible. In fact, this church body consists of warm, friendly people who love one another. As pastors, we enjoy being with the body and are completely approachable. If we have not found our way to you yet, please do not hesitate to come up to us and say hello. Lastly, the people here at Great Plains Church are not perfect and often miss the mark. So if you are looking for the perfect church, we are not it. But we are all about one thing: Jesus Christ and Him being glorified! Ever week we lift His Name in worship and bring Him front and center in all we do because He is everything we need. You do not need a perfect church, you do not need a great pastor, or anything else, what you need is Jesus! As we look upon Him, the author and perfecter of our faith, He transforms us into His image. We want this for you as well!
Sincerely,
The GPC Pastoral Team
meet the pastors
Jim Neice and James Weishaar serve as pastors at Great Plains Church. While they have the same name, they also share the same heart for Christ and His church.
Jim and his wife Resa have several grown children as well as many wonderful grandchildren. Jim has a huge heart for the homeless in Wichita and can often be found bringing food under a bridge to feed anyone he finds. He is not afraid to make friends with the 'least of these.'
James is married to his wife Stephanie and have three young children. James and Stephanie have a heart to see men and women become fully devoted disciples of Jesus who bring God glory on the earth. Stephanie places exchange students also, with a heart to see each one come to know Jesus during thier stay in the USA.
